Keeping Up with the evolving world of fashion on a budget

Fashion is ever changing and it can be difficult to keep up with the latest styles without breaking the bank. Of course, there are some things that you just have to spend a bit of extra cash on if you want to get your hands on them, but there are still ways to look after your wallet, as well as looking after your wardrobe. Sounds too good to be true? Well I've put together this guide so that you don't have to search them out for yourself. You're welcome.

Thrift First

If you've had your eye on an item for some time now, you may not have to pay the big bucks to get the look. I know that you're thinking thrifting is tiring and boring and you'll only find musty-smelling clothes that remind you of your grandparents/ However, this is not true, and there are all kinds of clothes that are up for grabs in thrift stores. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it, and check them out before you hand over a wad of cash for something on the high street.

Budget Well

If you're budgeting-savy then you'll know that you have some left over cash at the end of the month to buy those items that you really want. Instead of not knowing your outgoing, gaining control of them will allow you to spend a little extra on the clothes you really want to buy. Limit yourself to a certain amount of fashion-based spending a month, and you'll manage to decide where your priorities lie. If you need some help with budgeting, get the best money management app you can, and start from there.

Look Online

Not only do high street stores have online sites where you can get the latest looks, but there are a lot of other options out there, too. For example, apps such as Depop, and vintage stores like ASOS Marketplace, are great for finding some bargains that you just wouldn't have know were there. Who cares that someone else wore this twice? We're saving some $$$, and Depop-ping to our heart's content. Give it a go.
Check out some coupons

Ok, this sounds like something your Mom would say, and I get that. But having a look at coupons before you buy things especially online- could save you up to 50% on our whole basket. And, you know, who doesn't want that? At the very least you'l probably be able to bag a free delivery so it's worth a shot. If you're a student, then game-changer! You'll get a discount on pretty much anything, so look out for the code.

So, if you want to keep up with the fashion world, and look 10/10 on a budget, then following these simple tricks will help you to keep your wallet full, and your wardrobe even fuller. Take it from me, thrifting, budgeting, and using coupons are the way forward, and looking around before you hand over the cash won't do you any harm. Have fun bargain-hunting, and have even more fun wearing that great new OOTD!
